Rakuten Blog is a Japanese personal-blog service and discovery portal within Rakuten's service group. Its official homepage invites members to start a blog for free on PC or mobile and states that image capacity is unlimited. Visitors can read selected blogs and recent entries, browse by themes or genre, view overall and genre-based rankings, and search for blogs. The homepage shows recently updated posts and links to free Rakuten member registration and login. Public blog pages can be read without creating a blog, while opening and managing a personal blog uses a Rakuten member account. The service therefore combines blog publishing with a directory for finding Japanese-language writers and posts.
