地理院地図は、国土地理院が整備した地形図、空中写真、標高、地形分類、災害情報などを重ね合わせて閲覧できる日本の公式ウェブ地図です。地名・住所を検索して場所を表示し、複数の背景図や主題図、年代別の空中写真を切り替えたり、写真を並べて比較したりできます。地形断面図、標高の色分け、3D表示、作図、距離計測、住所・標高の確認などの機能があり、教育、防災、地域調査に活用できます。地理院タイルや各レイヤーの利用条件はデータごとに定められているため、二次利用や業務利用では公式のタイル一覧と利用規約を確認する必要があります。ブラウザーから利用できます。

GSI Maps is the official interactive map service of Japan’s Geospatial Information Authority. It lets users view and combine the authority’s topographic maps, aerial photographs, elevation information, landform classifications, and disaster-related layers. Place names and addresses can be searched to locate an area, while different base maps and thematic layers can be selected. Aerial imagery from different periods can be opened side by side or overlaid for comparison. Tools support drawing on the map, measuring distance, checking an address and elevation, creating an elevation profile between two points, coloring terrain by height, and viewing terrain and imagery in 3D. The service is useful for geography education, local research, and disaster preparedness. GSI tiles and individual layers have their own terms and attribution requirements, so users planning to reuse or redistribute map data should consult the official tile list and terms of use.
