Kochi Shimbun Digital

The Kochi Shimbun website is the newspaper’s digital news service, centered on local reporting from Kochi Prefecture, Japan, alongside national and international news, daily-life information, sports, editorials, and series and special features. The homepage presents Kochi stories by municipality and topic, covering incidents and accidents, politics and administration, business and industry, tourism, events, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, health, culture, and education. Sports coverage includes Kochi United football and high-school baseball; the site also links to community events, audio articles, and visual news. Local services include Kochi weather and disaster information for earthquakes, evacuation notices, warnings, and linear rainbands, as well as links to transport disruption, ferry and flight cancellations, and road closures. The homepage links to the Kochi Shimbun digital newspaper, a page viewer, Kochi Shimbun PLUS, subscription applications, article-data use information, photo services, and reader submissions. It does not establish one price or access condition for every article. This is the publisher’s official site for Kochi regional news and practical local information, supplemented by broader reporting and digital newspaper services.
