Furusato Choice Japan Hometown Donation Portal

Furusato Choice is a Japanese hometown donation portal that connects donors with municipalities and local communities across the country. Visitors can browse donation destinations and municipal thank-you gifts by region, item type, rankings, and curated features, then submit a donation application through the site. Listings include food, household goods, locally made products, travel and activity experiences, event tickets, and other region-specific offerings. The portal also features government crowdfunding for local projects, support for disaster-affected areas, and reports from municipalities about how donations are used. Its app, donation-selection guides, payment information, FAQs, and help resources support the process; it is a platform for local donations and community projects rather than an ordinary retail marketplace.
