Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan

The Motion Picture Producers Association of Japan (Eiren) is an industry organization for Japanese film producers. Its website publishes annual statistics on Japan’s film industry and the association’s related materials. The Eiren database lets visitors search production and distribution titles from its four member companies: Shochiku, Toho, Toei, and Kadokawa. The association also runs the Kido Awards screenplay competition for emerging writers and coordinates the selection of Japanese films for the Academy Awards’ International Feature Film category. News, information about Eiren’s activities, guidance on preventing unauthorized filming in cinemas, and links to other film organizations provide additional context about the Japanese film business.
