The Japan Foreign Trade Council, Inc. (JFTC) is an industry association whose regular members include trading companies and trade organizations. It works toward the sound development of Japan’s trade and trading industry. Its website publishes statements by the chair, proposals and requests concerning trade and trading companies, publications, and event and seminar information. Public-facing materials explain the strengths, business models, and social role of Japanese trading companies, including their activities in the Global South. The association also highlights carbon neutrality, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability disclosure.
