Bookmeter is a Japanese book-discovery and reading-log community. Readers can organize books on four personal shelves—want to read, owned/to be read, currently reading, and read—and track completed titles, page counts, and reading pace in graphs. Members can write ratings and reviews, read other users’ impressions, and organize finished books into multiple custom bookshelves. Discovery features include book and author rankings, catalog search, recommendations based on reading compatibility, other readers’ recent activity, and new-release alerts based on saved author or title keywords.
